The Center for Human Development, (CHD)is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to oversee the nursing functions of our Adult Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment Programs, Clinics and services throughout Connecticut. Your role as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN): This position you will interface with an inter-disciplinary team, (both in-house and with local LMHAxe2x80x99s) of social workers, nurses, and mental health support staff to ensure that patient centered, evidence-based, high quality behavioral health services are provided at CHD. The primary focus of this position is in maintaining the therapeutic milieu (assuring supports allow for the positive outcomes for patients) and ongoing application of therapeutic services for all CHD Residential and Community based services and programs. The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse leads and coordinates the overall plan of care for CHD clients. This position will develop and supervise the internal interdisciplinary team to deliver best practice care to provide assessment, treatment, educations and care to all CHD participants. REQUIRMENTS: Must have a current license to prescribe psychiatric medications in the state of Connecticut. Must have DEA license to prescribe controlled substances Confidently navigate an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Possess strong time-management skills and efficiencies in completing documentation. Strong Computer skills Valid driverxe2x80x99s license, use of personal vehicle to travel to and from community resources, programs, offices etc. Flexibility to meet the demands of the role, included some extended hours during the week, weekends and Holiday hours are possible. SUCCESS FACTORS: Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills for good interaction with participants, coworkers and vendors. The ability to analyze, review and make informed, evidence-based decisions is key.
