Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Kaufman, TXxc2xa0Flourishing family practice clinic is seeking a full-time APP to join our team and our commitment to provide high quality care to our patients of all ages.xc2xa0(Part-time also considered!) xc2xa0xc2xa0Our ACO is Southwestern Health Resources, which is a clinically integrated network that offers an alliance of trusted providers who work together to give high-quality coordinated care to patients, while also finding ways to lessen the cost of care. Our patient payer mix encompasses a wide variety of commercial insured, Medicare/MA, and cash pay. We do not accept Medicaid. Our EMR is eClinical Works. xc2xa0xc2xa0This opportunity provides a flexible schedule. Full-Time employment involves a scheduled 36 hour in clinic week plus 4 hours admin time/week. Candidates must be able to work 1-2 evenings (until 7:00 PM) per week and 1-2 Saturdays (half day) per month. Clinic volume: Approximately 2.5 to 3 patients per hour. Appointment lengths alternate between 15 to 30-minute visits.xc2xa0No call, no hospitalxe2x80xa6 outpatient only!xc2xa0Essential Functions:Collaboration with MD/Physician-owner and current team of 3 other APPs.xc2xa0Oversee primary preventative and comprehensive/problem focused care for patients aged 12 months and up in order to make treatment decisions and attain health goals.Assess the physical examination and medical history of patients, determine diagnosis, and implement a treatment plan.Order, collect and interpret laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures.Evaluate the patient need for up-to-date immunizations and order/administer.Counsel and educate patients on topics such as chronic disease management, medications, and compliance.Perform procedures, such as joint injections and minor skin procedures (punch biopsy, I&D, lesion removals, etc.)xc2xa0Manage prescriptions and refills as neededWomenxe2x80x99s Wellness ExamsProvide patient care through virtual/telehealth visits as necessaryAll other duties as assignedxc2xa0General Expectations:xc2xa0Demonstrate the highest level of ethics, integrity, professionalism, accountability and service in interactions with patients and their families, other providers, and all staff members.Assist in providing a friendly, respectful environment for patients and other staff members.Work as a team with physician and other mid-level providersBe receptive to guidance and constructive criticism.xc2xa0Provide evidence-based care when prescribing medications and other treatments.Show proof of all vaccines as recommended/advised by CDC guidelines for Health-Care Workers, including COVID-19 vaccination.Adhere to regulatory agency requirements, OSHA standards, and Universal Precautions regarding infectious disease, hazardous materials, and use of PPE.Comply with all HIPAA rules and regulations in order to maintain the security of Protected Health Information.Attend and participate in staff meetings.Computer literate and willing to learn new software skills.xc2xa0Required Education and Licensure:Graduate from an accredited US PA program or FNP program3-5+ years outpatient Primary Care experience (Strongly preferred)New Grads mayxc2xa0apply (5+ years of previous ER or ICU experience as RN, prior to NP training, would be optimal)Maintain Unrestricted License to practice as a PA or NP in the State of TexasCertified in Family Practice, maintain active status while employedDEA licensexc2xa0Benefits:xc2xa0Base hourly pay, negotiable based on experience and skills.Production bonus(es)- based on annual Collections and adherence to Quality Care measures.Health, Dental, Vision Insurance plus 401(k) Retirement PlanPaid MalpracticePaid Holidays (9 days per year)Paid CME (5 days) and PTO (10 days)
