Job Description:Mike Mah, MD is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our growing private, cash-based psychiatric practice in Century City. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about building their own patient base in a flexible, patient-centered outpatient setting that offers both in-person and telehealth care.The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in growing their private practice on a part-time basis, with a caseload that will grow over time. There will certainly be an opportunity to build to a full-time schedule, should that be your preference. Extensive supervision and training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone eager to learn and become an expert in psychiatric care, including ketamine therapy and potentially medical-legal work. This role is perfect for someone looking to build a private practice on the side while receiving strong support and mentorship. There will also be significant opportunities for growth as the practice expands.Key Responsibilities:Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments in an outpatient setting (both in-person and via telehealth).Develop and implement individualized medication management plans.Administer and monitor ketamine treatments for eligible patients.Build and maintain your own patient caseload, which will grow over time.See patients referred from personal injury law offices for psychiatric evaluations and ongoing treatment.Participate in report writing for personal injury cases and, rarely, appear in court as needed.Legal-related work, including report writing and court appearances, will be paid with a sizable bonus.No prior legal experience is required, as full training and supervision will be provided by Dr. Mike Mah.Maintain accurate and timely patient records to ensure high-quality care.Participate in supervision and training to enhance clinical expertise.Educate patients and their families about medication regimens, ketamine therapy, and other treatment options.Required Skills and Qualifications:Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).Active and unrestricted NP license in California.Current DEA license for prescribing controlled substances.Strong desire to learn and grow within a private practice setting.Experience or willingness to work with ketamine therapy.Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and treating mental health conditions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently while participating in collaborative practice building.Preferred Skills:Experience in outpatient psychiatric settings.Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.Benefits:Competitive hourly rate.Sizable bonus for legal-related tasks, including report writing and court appearances.Flexible part-time schedule with a mix of telehealth and in-person work.Extensive supervision and training to become an expert in psychiatric care, including ketamine therapy and potentially medical-legal work.Significant opportunities for growth as the practice expands.Opportunity to build your caseload to a full-time schedule, if preferred.Opportunity to work closely with a leading psychiatrist in a personalized practice setting.Application Instructions:Interested candidates are encouraged to apply through ZipRecruiter.
