Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join our emergency healthcare team. As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive care to patients across the lifespan, utilizing your specialized skills and knowledge. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients and contribute to their overall well-being. This position offers 72-78 hours bi-weekly. Duties: – Provide emergency and urgent care services to patients with acute illnesses or injuries, ensuring prompt and appropriate treatment – Deliver specialized care to patients of all ages, by assessing their unique needs and providing appropriate interventions – Manage infectious diseases by implementing infection control measures, administering medications, and educating patients on prevention strategies – Conduct specimen collection processing, including accurate labeling and documentation of samples – Demonstrate proficiency in ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation and billing purposes – Perform phlebotomy procedures for blood collection and ensure proper handling of specimens if needed – Apply knowledge of pharmacology to prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness in treating multiple health conditions Requirements: – Valid Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license in Kansas – Master’s degree in Nursing or related field – 1-2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is preferred – Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding system for accurate documentation and billing purposes – Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques for blood collection and specimen handling – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members We offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
