We are looking for a per diem Licensed Nurse Practitioner to join our group who will focus on providing high quality patient care direct to residents of long-term-care facilities at their bedside throughout Portland. All applicants must enjoy working with geriatric patients as you will be traveling to various skilled nursing homes throughout Portland (only one skilled nursing facility a day) to provide exceptional medical care to those patients not able to visit the doctor’s office. This position offers extremely high scheduling flexibility and is a perfect position for someone who enjoys working independently. The group manages all non-medical related responsibilities so we make it as easy for providers as possible and allow for providers to focus on care.The ideal candidate is:Adept at working with seniorsLooking for a challenging, diverse and rewarding positionSomeone with excellent communication: verbal /written skills.Someone with strong charting skills on an IPad.Responsibilities: Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses Prescribe all necessary medications and treatmentsPerform comprehensive physical examinations of patientsDevelop and implement patient management policies and proceduresFacilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilitiesCommunicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient careAdditional Benefits: Very flexible in terms of creating your own schedule both in terms of days and time of day worked * We reimburse for gas per mile drivenNo calls on nights, weekends or holidays requiredInstrumentation provided for youAll candidates must have: Reliable transportation and proof of car insurance as applicants will be traveling to various nursing homes throughout Oregon to provide exceptional medical care to those patients not able to visit the doctorxe2x80x99s office Driving is required as this is a mobile practice* Proof of certification as a Nurse PractitionerJob Type: per diemPay: $75-78 per hour
