Job descriptionWe are seeking a full-time or part-time Nurse Practitioner to diagnose and treat health conditions, as well as promote good health practices in Long-Term Care facilities. The job description of a nurse practitioner includes conducting physical examinations, interpreting lab tests, prescribing medications & treatment options, counseling & educating and overseeing patientsxe2x80x99 health. You will both be a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. You should have experience in one of the following Nurse Practitioner specialties: Geriatric/Gerontology/Acute care, Cardiology, Family Health, Womenxe2x80x99s Health or Psychiatry. If you do not have any experience in this area, we will train you.xc2xa0xc2xa0It is an autonomous position, with flexible work schedule. You make your day and time to do your rounds in the facilities at your own schedule from Monday to Sunday.xc2xa0Skills Required:* Effectively identifying, evaluating and acting on disease prevention and health promotion issues of long-term care residents while administering quality patient care.* Working in an independent and interdependent relationship with members of the medical staff.* Diagnosis and treatment of acute, chronic and long-term health care.* Educating patients and/or family members about preventive care, medical issues and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medicationxc2xa0Qualifications:Must possess California State RN and NP licenses, Master’s Degree in Nursing, National Board Certification, and DEA license.Plusesxc2xb7xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0 Must have a passion for working with the geriatric populationxc2xb7xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0 Must be confident in taking a proactive role in the patient’s carexc2xb7xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0 Effective communication and interpersonal skillsThe Offer:Hourly Rate: $75.15-$85.15/hour or higher.xc2xa0Eligible for bi-weekly bonus too.xc2xb7xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0 Part-time or Full-time with flexible schedule.
